About Edmonton

Winter capital of Alberta

Located where the vast prairies meet the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Edmonton blends winter wilderness with a lively cultural scene. With convenient connections to Amsterdam from the UK, the city makes an easy starting point for a journey through Canada’s snow-covered west.

Winter is very much part of everyday life in Edmonton. Locals embrace the season with festivals, outdoor skating rinks and winter markets, while the North Saskatchewan River winds through the city like a ribbon of white. The result is a place where urban energy and the calm of a snowy landscape sit comfortably side by side.
